The Youth and events department - that arose from the experience of the Youth activities office that was started in 1993 and which became a Department in the Year 2000 - is made up by the Youth section and by the Section for events and initiatives. Both sections are actively involved in promoting numerous cultural and recreational activities; the former addresses itself to an exclusively young public while the latter offers initiatives and services to the population at large.
