How to get here



    By car

    The highway which crosses the region of Lugano connects northern Europe to the Mediterranean.
    From Milan: highway A9 ("Autostrada dei Laghi"), direction Como-Saint Gotthard or highway A8, direction Varese-Stabio (Gaggiolo).
    Suggested exit: Lugano SUD.
    From Zurich: highway A2, direction Saint Gotthard-Chiasso-Italy.
    Suggested exit: Lugano NORD.
    A road tax stamp must be purchased at the Customs house and stuck on the windscreen in order to be allowed to drive on Swiss highways. The cost of the stamp is CHF 40.-- and is valid from January to December.

    People travelling by train can reach any Swiss town and city thanks to an efficient railway network (FFS).
