In the autumn of 2023, the new Molino Nuovo preschool (SI) and the adjacent redeveloped public spaces were inaugurated. The project, designed by the Consorzio BBR Architetti, included the construction of a new building for the preschool, the reorganization of local sports fields, and maintenance work on the Bossi building.

Opened in 1913, the funicular ceased operations in 1987. In 2023, the City Council launched an architectural competition with a selective procedure to redesign the area adjacent to the LAC cultural center. The competition concluded with the selection of two winning interdisciplinary teams.
