LongLake Festival turns 15

In the very heart of summer, the Lugano LongLake Festival will once again enliven the city from 10 to 27 July 2025. For eighteen days, more than 300 mostly free musical, artistic and cultural events will animate Lugano. Once again, the programme is built around three flagship weekends: Estival Jazz, Blues to Bop and Lugano Buskers.

Alongside these highlights, a constellation of events will light up every corner of the city: concerts with internationally renowned artists and leading figures on the Swiss music scene, theatre performances, urban-art installations, family activities, DJ sets, dance moments, themed markets and street food to discover while strolling through the streets and along the lakefront. Spanning an urban route that blends beauty, nature and culture—from the greenery of Ciani Park along the lakeside to Lugano’s historic core with Piazza della Riforma and Piazza Manzoni—the festival enters into dialogue with the city, treating every space as an integral part of the experience.

As the Deputy Mayor and Head of the Department of Culture, Sport and Events of the City of Lugano, Roberto Badaracco, emphasises: “Each year the LongLake Festival renews its mission to make the city a vibrant place of exchange, culture and participation. Free admission to most events ensures open and inclusive involvement, throwing the doors of culture wide open to all. The city comes alive in its most evocative corners, offering residents and visitors moments of genuine well-being. It is an open invitation to celebrate the Lugano summer together.”
