The City of Lugano is pleased to announce the official opening of the Lugano Lido for the 2025 summer season, scheduled for Thursday 1 May. To mark the inauguration, admission will be free for all visitors.

Throughout the day, starting at 11:00 am, the municipal authorities will deliver their welcome address, followed by a refreshment. From 12:00 pm, the grilled-specialities corner will be in operation for every taste (subject to charge). The event will be enlivened by the Castagnola Philharmonic and by activities for children such as face painting and soap-bubble shows.

Special events:

  • Family Days: Saturday 28 June, 19 July and 23 August 2025, with discounts for families, reduced parking fees, a special-price children’s menu, entertainment and free gadgets.
     
  • During the summer, beach-volleyball and beach-soccer tournaments will be organised, along with days dedicated to specific sporting activities.
     
  • On Tuesday 8 July and Friday 8 August 2025, the midnight swim under the full moon will return, with the possibility of dining at the Ristorante Al Lido.
